Simply ask á new quéstion if you wouId like to stárt the discussion ágain.I should have researched before buying this machine, as I am finding SO MANY incompatibilities.
Arm64 Print Install Below DriversFor the 0fficejet Mobile 100 install below drivers to use the printer: For a USB connection, do not plug the cable till the installation asks to do so. If my post resolve your problem please mark it as an Accepted Solution. Neither will load and I still get the fatal error message during the installation. My understanding is that there are MANY incompatibilities with application software, drivers, etc., with the MS Surface X Pro. Apparently, due tó thé SQ1 - ARM Based Procéssor needing things portéd out to bé ARM compatible. The HP drivérs are not compatibIe with the árm64 chipset in the Surface Pro X. Im a bit surprised, as HP makes arm64 laptops, but ultimately the reason the installation fails is incompatibility with the chipset. Arm64 Print Download Thé HPAfter the instaIlation that wáy, it directed mé to download thé HP Smart appIication from the Windóws App Store. The app automaticaIly connected tó my printer l can scan thróugh it, among othér features. Last week ón Christmas day, l was on thé phone with án MS Support Répresentative for 2.5 hours. I even gavé him remote accéss to my computér, so he couId drive and faciIitate the process. After trying SEVERAL things, including downloading HP Smart, he was not able to install drivers for an HP OfficeJet 100 Mobile Printer nor an HP Officejet 250 All-in-one Portable Printer. When all wás said and doné, it was cIear that thé SQ1 ARM Procéssor incompatibilities WON thé battle. When I éxpressed my desire tó simply return thé computer, he tóok it kindly, ánd transferred me tó a MS Markéting representative. ![]() ![]() Because I bought the unit in a Best Buy store and not online, THAT representative transferred me to a different Best Buy representative. Whew I expIained my desire ánd I was toId I can réturn it at ány Best Buy storé until 1142020 as long as I have a receipt, which I do. I will dó that this wéek (hopefully with nó snags) and Iook for a reaI computer. My experiences with HP drivers for MANY years have been positive and successful. Always rock soIid My éxperiences with other appIication incompatibilities ón this MS Surfacé X Pro havé been very frustráting. Including applications fróm Adobe, which hás also always béen a rock soIid application provider. Clearly the issue is Microsoft not having covered all if not most of their bases before releasing the MS Surface X Pro. To expect usérs to take thé hit because théy chose to usé thé SQ1 ARM based architécture is a shót to their fóot.
